AI in Northern Mariana Islands

Northern Marianas College adopted Board Policy 8008 on artificial intelligence on June 27, 2024, described by the college as the first AI policy in the CNMI, covering ethical use, AI in curriculum, research and workforce training. No CNMI government AI statute or executive order was found in public sources as of October 2026. NTIA accepted the CNMI Digital Equity Plan, guided by the CNMI Broadband Policy and Development Office, to address digital access, skills and affordability.
