Built for every American.
AI Ready America is for everyone, including people with disabilities. Here is what we do to make this site usable, where we still fall short, and how to tell us about a barrier.

Our commitment
The Enterprise Technology Association (ETA) runs AI Ready America and is committed to making aireadyamerica.org usable by as many people as possible. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens in a new tab) at Level AA across the site, and we check new pages and features against that standard before they ship.
Many of our partners are states, cities, counties, school systems and other public bodies. For them, our target of WCAG 2.2 AA also covers WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the technical standard in the U.S. Department of Justice's 2024 rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We aim to align with that standard. This statement describes our goals and practices; it is not a legal certification of conformance.
What you'll find on this site
- Display settings. Use the "Display" button in the site header to make text larger, turn on high contrast, and reduce motion. Your choice is remembered on this device. We also follow your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Pause animations. The "Pause animations" button at the bottom of every page stops the moving background, map and other animations.
- Keyboard access. Every link, button, form and menu works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline. On small screens, the "Menu" button opens every navigation link. The concierge chat window keeps focus inside until you close it with Escape or the Close button.
- Skip link. Press Tab once on any page to reveal "Skip to main content" and jump past the navigation.
- Screen reader support. Pages use headings, landmarks and labeled form fields; error messages are announced and receive focus; decorative images and animations are hidden from screen readers.
- Readable color and text. Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG contrast minimums, and pages reflow when you zoom to 200% or more.
- Forms that help you. Fields support browser autofill and tell you which are required.
- Spanish pages. An overview of AI Ready America and the Join form are available in Spanish: AI Ready America en español.
Known limitations
We are still working on these areas:
- The concierge. The AI concierge answers in English and its answers are generated by AI, so they can be incomplete or wrong. If you need information in another way, email us.
- Partner and third-party content. State program sites, training courses, event registration pages, videos and other linked services come from partners and outside sites we don't control and may not meet the same standard.
- Bot check. Some forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It usually runs without any action from you; if it blocks you, email us and we will sign you up directly.
- Ongoing review. We test with automated tools on every change and with keyboard and screen reader checks before launches, and we fix what we find. New issues can still slip through, so please tell us.
Report a barrier
Found something that's hard or impossible to use? Email hello@joineta.org with the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened. The link opens a pre-filled email with those questions. Every report goes to the AI Ready America team at the Enterprise Technology Association.
We aim to respond within 5 business days. If you can't get information or a service you need because of a barrier, we will help you get it another way, for example by email, by phone, or in another format, while we fix the problem.
