AI in Idaho

Idaho's Office of Information Technology Services maintains an AI Help Center and a risk-based Idaho AI Framework that tiers state-agency AI systems by risk and requires governance, transparency and human oversight. In March 2026 Governor Brad Little and Superintendent Debbie Critchfield announced a public-private K-12 AI education partnership with Idaho National Laboratory, the Idaho STEM Action Center, Micron, Microsoft and Stukent. The State Board of Education's $4 million federally funded Accelerate Idaho initiative (2026-2029) announced seven AI Innovation Awards across five public colleges and universities in September 2026.
